Questions we usually get

Is it safe to connect my Telegram account?
Yes. The session works the same way Telegram Web does — we never see your password or your login code. You can revoke access from Telegram itself in one tap: Settings, then Devices, then end the session.
What if a client is not on Telegram?
Then the reminder goes to WhatsApp — it tries WhatsApp first when that's connected, and falls back to Telegram. You control the text and the timing; the channel order is automatic.
Can I edit the reminder text?
Yes. Every template is editable from the dashboard — the booking confirmation, change and cancellation messages plus the 24-hour and 2-hour reminders — and client name, staff member, time and service are filled in automatically. You can also adjust how far ahead each reminder goes out.
Will it actually reduce no-shows?
That is the goal. A reminder from a name your client recognises, in a messenger they already use, gets read far more often than email or an unknown SMS number — so fewer people simply forget.
What happens to my clients' personal data?
Altegio stays the system of record for client data. We process only what each reminder needs, and our roadmap keeps that data ephemeral — short-lived, with automatic expiry — rather than storing it long-term. A DPA is available on request.
Does it work with WhatsApp?
Yes. Reminders go out from your own WhatsApp — Keep-Them links to it like WhatsApp Web on an extra device, so clients see your number, not a bot.
